What are the responsibilities and job description for the Electrical Engineer (PCB Design) position at Mu-Del Electronics?
Summary:
Mu-Del Electronics is looking to hire an Electrical Engineer – PCB Layout for RF and high-speed digital circuits. They will work with electrical and mechanical engineers by taking their schematics/BOMs and layout out the PCB to be sent out for build.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent, minimum
- 3 – 5 years of professional experience with demonstrated work performance in PCB layout design using Altium
- High degree of ingenuity and skilled in the design, prototyping and testing of small analog, digital, FPGA and microprocessor-based circuits
- Ability to work from rough sketches and oral instructions, often with only tentative guidance available
- Proficient in the use of application software and associated hardware relating to PCB layout and microprocessor firmware development
- Working knowledge on creating BOMs in a MRP system
- Knowledge of proper use of laboratory equipment such as oscilloscope, data acquisition equipment, thermocouples and power supplies for testing and evaluation of electronic circuitry is a plus
- Knowledge or experience of RF and microwave test equipment including Network Analyzers and spectrum analysis, Noise Figure is a plus; familiarity with RF tuning and filter testing is a plus
- Knowledge/experience with electronic components and PCB design, preferably RF
- Knowledge or experience with RF design simulation techniques and tools a plus
- Willingness to learn and become an effective team member
- Demonstrated ability to take initiative and responsibility in a team environment
- Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills; exceptional time management skills
- Effective communication skills, including writing, speaking and active listening; great interpersonal skills.

Compensation is commensurate with experience and qualifications.
