ABOUT THE JOB
MU Health Care is proud to introduce a newly created Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) role as part of our innovative TRIAD leadership model. In this dynamic position, the CNO will collaborate with the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) and Chief Operating Officer (COO) to provide strategic oversight and leadership for inpatient nursing services at University Hospital, Ellis Fischel Cancer Center, and the Missouri Orthopaedic Institute. Reporting directly to the System Chief Nursing Executive, this role will spearhead initiatives to enhance operational performance, elevate patient care standards, and support the professional growth of nursing leaders.
As CNO, you will play a pivotal role in advancing MU Health Care's journey toward Magnet designation, contributing to a culture of nursing excellence and continuous improvement. With a focus on elevating the professional practice of nursing utilizing high reliability science, the CNO will guide nursing policies, resource allocation, and performance metrics to ensure exceptional outcomes for patients and employees alike.
