Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounting Assistant to support our busy finance team. The ideal candidate will have proven expertise in QuickBooks Enterprise Desktop and a strong background in managing accounting processes across multiple entities. This role involves handling daily accounting tasks, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring the integrity of financial data across various business units.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Record Keeping:
- Manage and update financial records for multiple entities using QuickBooks Enterprise Desktop.
- Process invoices, expense reports, and vendor payments accurately and in a timely manner.
- Input and maintain project data in the CRM system to accurately track workflow and financial details.
Reconciliations & Reporting:
- Perform account reconciliations to ensure accurate records.
- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes and support the preparation of financial statements and budget reports.
Collections & Financial Processes:
- Assist in the collections process, ensuring timely follow-up on overdue accounts.
- Identify and resolve discrepancies, ensuring compliance with accounting principles.
Administrative Tasks:
- Organize, review, and maintain vendor contracts and insurance documentation and other required documents.
- Assist with other administrative tasks as needed to support the accounting department.
Qualifications
Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in an accounting or finance role.
- Demonstrated experience using QuickBooks Enterprise Desktop.
- Proven track record of managing accounting functions for multiple entities.
Education:
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
Technical Skills:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
Soft Skills:
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
