The company's solutions enable users to manufacture various types of chip cards, including ID, contact, and dual interface cards, as well as multimedia cards and smart labels for access control and supply chain management. Muhlbauer'sequipment is used to personalize Virginia Driver Licenses as well as licenses in other states in order to protect documents against counterfeiting and alteration.Muhlbauer, Inc is looking to hire a Field Service Technician for its Newport News, Virginia location to install, troubleshoot and provide training on machines and systems. The ideal candidates have skills in electronics, mechanics, pneumatics, and software. Candidates would also be proactive, self-motivated, and organized with their work.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Installation of the machines and systems (in house and at the customer side)
- Acceptance and training for the systems at the customer site
- Reparation and maintenance of running systems
- Production and hotline support
- Follow appropriate procedures for each service event
- Complete appropriate written documentation and feedback for service interventions
Education and Qualifications:
- High school diploma or an equivalent
- Two or more years of experience with maintenance for machinery
- Strong interpersonal verbal and written communication skills
- Willing to travel frequently for weeks at a time to Oregon, New Mexico, and states across the US as needed (estimated 70% of the time)
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
