Job summary
Handles customer orders, complaints, and questions. Updates customer systems and communications to identify shipping requirements.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Talks with customers by phone or in person and receives orders for installation, turn on, discontinuance, or change in service. • Adjusts complaints concerning billing or service rendered, referring complaints of service failures to designated departments for investigation. • Works closely with production management and line supervisors to determine status of parts needed and if necessary, communicate with customers any concerns that may arise from production or shipping problems. • Works daily with the AS-400/SAP system to review customer needs and report weekly needs of customers. • Continuously monitors DDL system for all production and service parts to ensure proper safety inventories are being maintained. • Assists in shipping functions when necessary. • Records and enter customer orders that are not EDI. • Enters purchase request orders and packing slip data into XPPS. • Retrieve’s information using customer DDL and SMART systems. • Compiles and produces necessary customer paperwork for prototype and service orders.
Your profile
• To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of: Internet software and Microsoft Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Word Processing software. • Must be proficient with fax machine, photocopier, scanner, video conferences and telephone systems. • Visibility or work requires attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and discretion with confidential information. • Must be proficient in keyboarding and good spelling, punctuation, grammar, and oral communication.
