Job Description:
The Housekeeper will be responsible for cleaning building hallways, laundry rooms and entry ways. They will require a clear knowledge of chemicals and methods used for properly cleaning. As our company’s Residential Housekeeper, your main tasks will include dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, scrubbing, and sanitizing all areas and surfaces.
Responsibilities:
- The Housekeeper promotes the community and the rental of apartments by attending to the cleaning of the community buildings, empty apartments, hallways, and common areas on a scheduled basis
- Thoroughly cleaning the interior of buildings, hallways, common areas, and stairwells including, but not limited to, vacuuming, mopping, sweeping, wiping down surfaces, and dusting
- Remove any old notices from doors
- Identify and report any items that need repair or potential safety/compliance concerns to management
- Cleaning the facility laundry rooms, emptying trash receptacles, and reporting any broken or damaged items to the direct supervisor or office manager
- Display a positive and professional temperament while interacting with colleagues, vendors, contractors, and residents
- Cleaning leasing office, public restrooms, and pool locker rooms
- Remove trash and debris from common areas and grounds
Skill Requirements:
- Reliable and self-motivated
- Must be able to read and follow instructions regarding the handling of chemical supplies
- Ability to work in adverse weather conditions
- Time management and organizational skills
- Urgency to complete apartments within the time frame assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor and Leasing Manager
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to adapt to change
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift 30 pounds
- Must be in physical condition to stand and climb stairs for extended periods
- Must be able to twist, bend and squat frequently; kneel or crawl occasionally
- Display a positive and professional temperament while interacting with colleagues, vendors, contractors, and residents
