Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Hydrovac Operator to join our team in our Oklahoma location. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating hydrovac trucks to safely excavate and expose underground utilities while ensuring compliance with safety regulations. This role requires a strong understanding of heavy equipment operation, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to work efficiently on construction sites.
Duties
- Operate hydrovac trucks to perform excavation tasks in various environments, including construction sites.
- Safely dig around utilities and other underground structures using high-pressure water and vacuum systems.
- Conduct pre-trip inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning and safety compliance.
- Collaborate with team members to plan excavation projects and ensure timely completion.
- Maintain equipment by performing routine maintenance and reporting any mechanical issues.
- Follow all safety protocols and regulations to minimize risks on the job site.
- Assist with grading, loading, and dumping materials as needed during excavation projects.
Skills
- Must be 25 years of age.
- Must have 2 years of experience.
- Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid driver's license.
- Strong mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting and maintaining heavy equipment.
- Proficiency in operating heavy machinery such as graders, loaders, and dump trucks.
- Familiarity with horizontal drilling techniques and their application in excavation work.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment while communicating clearly with colleagues.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail when executing excavation tasks.
- Experience working on construction sites with an understanding of site safety practices.
