Key Responsibilities
Oversee and manage centralized mailroom staff and processes, ensuring timely and accurate handling of incoming mail and case-related documents.
- Supervise the upload of new client matters and documents into the firm’s case management system, ensuring proper organization and compliance.
- Direct the timely opening of new client cases and referrals, ensuring all necessary documentation is received and processed.
- Manage the client referral process, from initial case receipt to the assignment of referrals to attorneys, ensuring adherence to client litigation guidelines.
- Demonstrate strong organizational and communication skills (both written and verbal), with a proven ability to supervise staff in a fast-paced administrative setting.
- Lead the recruitment, hiring, and management of a team of 5-8 employees.
- Continuously identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency enhancements within the department.
Requirements
- Familiarity with California Workers’ Compensation legal documents and claims processes.
- At least 1-3 years of experience supervising a team of 5-8 employees.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 and Excel.
- Tech-savvy, with an understanding of how to leverage artificial intelligence and other tools to increase productivity.
- Prior experience as a Workers’ Compensation legal secretary or claims professional is a plus.
- This position is primarily in-office with limited remote work opportunities.
