About Us:
The Multi-Agency Alliance for Children is a non-profit organization committed to creating positive outcomes for vulnerable youth and families. Our mission is to coordinate resources, information, and a network of quality providers. We are currently seeking a LEADS Educational Youth & Family Coordinator, who will play a pivotal role in coordinating educational needs and support to youth. LEADS-Learn, Educate, Achieve, Dream, Succeed, is the coordination program for high school and GED eligible scholars in care who are boarded or in custody of Fulton and Dekalb counties.
Job Purpose:
The LEADS EYFC is responsible for coordinating and facilitating the entire support process for each of the youth/families served by maintaining accurate records of meetings, timely requisitions and reporting of service requests, resources, and ongoing communication with all team members. This role is crucial in supporting the implementation of timely educational resources and supports ensuring youth served matriculate year to year and obtain graduation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate ongoing meetings with youth, families, partner agencies and community members such as DJJ, DFCS, and school systems to identify strengths & explore needs of the team, youth and families served.
- Organize and prepare for meetings including but not limited to, drafting, and developing plans, identifying, and developing individualized resources to meet the unique needs of the youth and families served.
- Statewide travel to agencies, foster homes, and birth homes to meet and interact with youth and families.
- Entering documentation within required timelines into Exponent Case Management (ECM).
- Attend and participate in all relevant meetings pertaining to LEADS youth and program.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
Essential:
- High school Diploma required, Bachelor’s degree required in Human Services (preferred) or related field.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills with proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 Suite, or similar software with ability to learn new or updated software.
- Strong strategic, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
Preferred:
- 2 years of relevant experience in coordination of resources and services for youth and families.
- Knowledge of the Georgia Child Welfare, Mental Health System, Educational system and MAAC and its many functions.
- Experience working with and in a youth or family-centered practice model.
Work Environment:
This role is a full-time, 40-hour a week position that generally works in the field and requires occasional monthly in-office presence. To effectively support the youth, the expected work week is Monday through Friday with some evenings and weekend work as needed.
