REPORTS TO : Bakery Operations Manager
Job Description :
As a member of our bakery team, you will be an integral part of and responsible for various tasks involved in the production and preparation of baked goods. Your primary role will be to assist in creating a wide variety of delicious baked goods while adhering to safety, quality, and sanitation standards. You will work under the guidance of the head baker or bakery manager and collaborate with other bakery staff to ensure the smooth operation of the bakery.
Responsibilities :
- Baking and Food Preparation : Assist in preparing and baking a diverse range of products, such as bread, cakes, pastries, cookies, and other baked goods, following specific recipes and instructions.
- Mixing and Measuring Ingredients : Accurately measure and combine ingredients using various tools and equipment, ensuring consistency and adherence to recipes.
- Labeling & Packaging : Operate packaging and labeling equipment, ensuring that only high-quality products make it into packages. Labeling products with correct product labels, either labeling by hand or using the labeling machine.
- Oven Operation : Operate baking ovens, ensuring products are baked to the correct specifications and monitoring baking times and temperatures.
- Quality Control : Inspect baked goods for quality, appearance, and texture, ensuring they meet the bakery's standards before they are sent for packaging or display.
- Stocking and Inventory : Assist in managing ingredient inventory levels, notifying supervisors when supplies are running low, and helping to organize ingredient storage areas.
- Cleaning and Sanitation : Maintain a clean and tidy work area, including equipment and tools. Adhere to strict hygiene and sanitation practices to meet food safety regulations.
- Follow Health and Safety Guidelines : Adhere to all health and safety protocols, including proper handling and storage of ingredients, equipment operation, and use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Teamwork : Collaborate effectively with other bakery staff, assisting them when needed, and contributing to a positive and productive work environment.

STARTING PAY : $14.70 PER HOUR
Schedule : Monday - Thursday (6 AM - 4 : 30 PM)
