Position Summary
The Director of Supply Chain Operations is accountable for the collaborative development, integration, implementation, and optimization of the overall Supply Chain strategy in their assigned region. The Director works with key business and operational stakeholders within their specific region as well as their peers in the other Supply Chain regions and the System Manager of Inventory Control; participates in, leads, and partners with others on Supply Chain Operations and Logistics strategic integration efforts; develops and executes strategic plans around MultiCare-wide Supply Chain Operations and Logistics initiatives; ensures a compliant, effective, and streamlined operational Supply Chain experience for business and patient constituent groups; and leads contract implementation and conversion through their region. The Director administers and leads all Supply Chain operations and logistics functions at all acute care campuses, medical group clinics and warehouse operations within their respective regions to include management of all perpetual/periodic inventories, supplies received, stored, and issued. The Director serves as an organizational resource for strategic contracting opportunities, spend management, value analysis, and procurement compliance.
The position is responsible for management of approximately $5 to $15 million in accountable inventory and approximately $26 to $80 million in annual inventory issued to MultiCare campuses. Hospital-based leaders may have a dual matrixed reporting structure.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree
- MS/MBA/JD degree preferred
- Certified Materials & Resource Professional (CMRP), Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) or equivalent certification required or agreement to pursue certification
- Minimum eight (8) years of increasing responsibility in supply chain management within a complex healthcare organization
- Experience in a multi-facility integrated delivery network preferred
- Minimum five (5) years of experience and demonstrated skills in progressive leadership/management roles
- Clinical experience or a proven record of working closely with clinical operations preferred
- Active member of AHRMM or ISM preferred
- Consideration may be given to internal candidates not meeting the minimum qualifications
