Position Summary
The Manager - Security Operations is responsible for overseeing the day to day operations and functions of the MultiCare Health System Security Department at all sites across the system. This position is responsible for the primary mission of the Security Department; protection of people first, property second. The Manager-Security Operations ensures a safe environment on all campuses, in all facilities through continuous monitoring of conditions, risk assessments and collaboration with other MHS leaders. This position is responsible for developing and implementing action plans and solutions to safety and security sensitive issues which are discovered. The Manager-Security Operations assures high standards are maintained for all officers at all sites and services are delivered in accordance with MultiCare's values based behaviors. The Manager-Security Operations actively engages with employee's to accomplish a high perception of staff safety and confidence in the Security Department and the organization through education and best practice actions that assure a safe environment for all. This position provides assistance to the Director by performing other duties as needed or assigned. Hospital-based leaders may have a dual matrixed reporting structure.Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice or related field or four (4) years of experience in lieu of the degree may be considered
- Three (3) years of experience in a supervisory or lead capacity required, preferably in health care security
- Five (5) years experience in police, military police, or security work required, preferably in a health care setting
- CHPA Certification (Certified Healthcare Protection Administrator) through the IAHSS (International Association for Hospital Security and Safety) preferred but not required
- Current Washington State Drivers License; and proof of a safe driving record (which meets established MHS Standards) obtained by a motor vehicle report from the appropriate state

Pay and Benefit Expectations
We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental and retirement benefits and paid time off. As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $93,018.00 - $133,869.00 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education.
