Position Summary
The Payroll Specialist II is an exciting opportunity to process payroll for MultiCare. Within this role, you will apply established control procedures, process and distribute payroll reports, and actively participate in the payroll process.Responsibilities
- You will verify, edit, and process payroll accurately ensuring compliance with contracts, policies and federal law
- You will provide accurate, timely payroll reporting to management as requested by Supervisor
- You will investigate, research, reconcile and respond to employee discrepancies, obtaining assistance from the supervisor as needed
- You will perform time and attendance audits
- You will document processes for the time and attendance system and posts them to the Payroll shared site
- You will update various departmental spreadsheets, templates or tracking tools as needed
- You will maintain and responds appropriately to garnishments, support orders and levies
Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent preferred
- FPC Certification preferred (Fundamental of Payroll of Certification by the American Payroll Association)
- Minimum one (1) year experience in payroll or related field with experience in manipulating spreadsheet using Excel
- Experience with Time and Attendance systems preferred
- Experience in Healthcare Payroll preferred

Pay and Benefit Expectations
We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental and retirement benefits and paid time off. As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $26.04 - $37.84 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education. If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will be reflective of the appropriate step on the pay scale to which the applicant's years of experience align.Associated benefit information can be viewed here.
