Biomedical Equipment Technician II

Job Summary

The Biomedical Equipment Technician II is responsible for the installation, maintenance, calibration, and repair of complex biomedical equipment and systems. This position requires a high level of technical expertise and knowledge of electronic, mechanical, and computer systems. The Biomedical Equipment Technician II will work independently and as part of a team to ensure that all equipment is functioning properly and meets regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, calibrate, and repair complex biomedical equipment and systems
• Perform preventive maintenance and safety inspections on equipment
• Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions
• Order and maintain inventory of parts and supplies
• Document all work performed in accordance with regulatory requirements
• Provide technical support and training to end-users
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure equipment is functioning properly and meets organizational needs

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Biomedical Equipment Technology or related field preferred
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in the installation, maintenance, and repair of biomedical equipment
• Strong technical skills and knowledge of electronic, mechanical, and computer systems
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Must pass background and drug screen
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and move heavy equipment (up to 50 pounds)
• Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods of time
• Ability to work in confined spaces and at heights
• Ability to work in a variety of environmental conditions (e.g. hot, cold, dusty, noisy)
