What are the responsibilities and job description for the 2025 Summer Learning - SPED Teachers position at Multiple Locations?
SPED ESY Program
Position: Special Education Teachers (up to 30)
Reports to: Building Administrator
Dates of Employment:
- 25 days - Students attend July 7-August 1st Monday- Friday
- 4 hours per day (time TBD- mornings)
- includes 20 hours (5 days) of curriculum classroom prep and professional development prior to program start June 27-July 3
Requirements / Qualifications:
- At least three (3) years successful teaching experience preferred
- Special education teachers: certification appropriate for grade level
Duties / Responsibilities:
- Work with ESY staff to provide support and professional consultation on integrating students with special needs into the summer school program.
- Provide instruction and/or assistance to special education students incorporating curricula and objectives that extend the regular school day curriculum and meet the Individualized Education Program of said students.
- Plan lessons/activities/accommodations as required and/or necessary.
- Provide student’s opportunities to interact socially with other students in a variety of academic and enrichment programs..
- Report on student progress to Program Administrators, Director of Special Education and Assistant Directors of Special Education
- Maintain student attendance and student records
- Complete and submit Progress Reports at the end of ESY
- Perform such tasks as related to the toals and objectives of the Extended School Year Programming
Salary- $45 per hour per contract
