What are the responsibilities and job description for the Test Operator (Second Shift) position at MultiTech?
SUMMARY: Adheres to the quality system standards pertaining to the testing and assembling of electronic devices.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform test requirements on basic products.
Assemble chassis, cables, and wires other related assemblies per schedule and referencing QA check sheet.
Operate in-circuit testers as required.
Uses visual aids, verbal, and written instructions to perform the job.
Adheres to ESD requirements and safety rules.
Produce high quality products to exceed customer expectations.
Follows MultiTech rules and policies.
Clean and maintain work area.
Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills in English.
Manual dexterity required for operating machinery, hand tools, and computers.
Knowledge of production planning and quality management systems preferred.
Knowledge of Lean principles preferred.
Basic PC knowledge.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
One to three months related experience and/or training.
On the job training provided.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Lifting requirements up to 40 pounds.
Requires standing, sitting, and walking for periods of time.
Reaching required.
Requires close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Color vision preferred, but not required.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment. Moderate noise level. Machinery operation requires the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to; safety glasses, wrist and shoe straps, and ESD smock. Food is not allowed in the manufacturing area. No cell phone use allowed in the manufacturing area unless approved by management.
