Our Operations team at Multitude Bank is looking for a Payments Officer to ensure efficient and high-quality transaction processing, supporting internal teams and resolving payment-related queries. You will work in a dynamic, fast-paced fintech environment with a strong focus on operational excellence and regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities include:·
- Processing transactions efficiently and accurately while maintaining high standards
- Addressing payment transaction inquiries and supporting internal teams, including (but not limited to) Customer Support, Collections, and Bank Reconciliation
- Investigating payment issues, including contacting the respective banks and PSPs, raising and following up on internal JIRA tickets, as applicable
- Sharing best practices, knowledge, and experience with other team members, incorporating feedback to reduce errors
- Supporting the implementation and monitoring of new payment platforms and related projects
- Assisting with effective process improvements to meet business and customer needs
- Participating in company and external training programs
- Adhering to all relevant bank policies and procedures, regulatory guidelines, and industry standards
- Performing additional duties as assigned, including supporting management with ad hoc requests in the Payments Department
In addition, for the pay-out team (if applicable):
- Liquidity management
- Investigating transaction queries related to lending, mobile banking, or deposits
- Handling blocking, unblocking, and closure of mobile bank accounts
- Overseeing SWIFT and SEPA operations, including message recalls and management across various SWIFT message classes
What we are looking for:
- 1 years’ experience in the Payments industry or a similar role.
- Degree in Business (considered an asset).
- Ability to work under pressure and multitask effectively.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Excellent organisational and planning abilities.
- Fluent in spoken and written English.
- Proactive, adaptable, and detail-oriented approach.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
- Willingness to travel if needed.
