OVERVIEW :
The Multnomah County Department of Community Services (DCS) is looking for an Administrative Analyst Senior to support our Director and Deputy Director.
As an Administrative Analyst Senior, you will serve as a partner to the Director and Deputy Director by providing senior level, confidential administrative support. You will use your expertise in scheduling and planning to arrange for these executive managers to meet with community partners, stakeholders, county commissioners, division directors and others. You will be the lead on projects and presentations of varying size and complexity. You will also act as the board of county commissioners liaison for DCS. You will use your excellent organizational skills to coordinate board meeting logistics, including agendas, minutes, presentations and other documents as well as any guest speakers. You will act as facilities lead for our campus. You will need to be financially responsible as you will buy supplies and office equipment.
You will provide program management support to the Department's Equity Committee and Organizational and Culture Change Manager to ensure integration of equity into the daily functions of the Department's services. You will use your experience with diversity, equity and inclusion practices and approaches as a leader in this work. You will also provide program and project management support to department-wide initiatives, which include tracking assigned work, ensuring accountability for outcomes, and conducting and tracking evaluation and analysis of projects to ensure they achieve intended goals, making recommendations for improvement as needed.
You will also coordinate and monitor the budget development process, including project managing and tracking program offers and ensuring alignment with DCS values and equity goals. You will be responsible for reviewing budget reports, analyzing data and providing recommendations on budget management for the director's office.
Additionally, you will understand how to operate within a nuanced political environment, exercising your good judgment to independently make decisions on the Director's behalf, as appropriate. You will often serve as the first point of contact for community members, media representatives and elected officials who wish to speak with the Director and / or Deputy Director. Using your superior customer service skills, you will problem solve and craft effective communications on behalf of the Director and Deputy Director to respond to questions and concerns.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION :
The eligible list established through this recruitment will be used to fill future full-time, part-time, temporary, on-call and limited duration vacancies.
Type of Position : This salaried management position is not eligible for overtime.
Work Schedule : Monday - Friday, 8 : 00AM - 5 : 00PM, with some flexibility with start / end times. Possibility to work a 9 / 80 schedule.
Hybrid Telework : This position is designated as "hybrid telework," meaning you will be working both remotely (from home) and one day or more per week based on need in person at an onsite location. The designation of Hybrid Telework may be subject to change at a future time. All employees must reside in Oregon or Washington; the county cannot support ongoing telework from other locations.
Work Location : When onsite, this position will work at the Multnomah Building, located at 501 SE Hawthorne Blvd, Portland, OR 97214.
