Overview:
The Communications Manager provides leadership and oversight of all corporate communications and public relations, including the development and implementation of an effective communications strategy. The Communication Manager should be comfortable delivering messages through various platforms and be a story-telling guru.
Responsibilities:
- Consult with executive management to develop and drive a multi-channel communications strategy, including procedures and policies for various situations or crises.
- Develop a communications style guide that builds a positive internal brand voice and maintains integrity across channels.
- Assemble and oversee a diverse communications team.
- Prepare and manage all internal corporate communications and public relations materials, including analysis and maintaining an archive of PR materials.
- Conduct quality control across all communications and digital platforms.
- Partner with HR and L&D to develop an internal communication strategy and manage the MCU intranet.
- Assist executive and senior leadership in developing presentations, speeches, award submissions and other corporate communications.
- Track engagement across various platforms with the responsibility to improve engagement numbers through additional or new manners of communicating.
- Responsible for management of the intranet and is its designated administrator.
- Support the communications of the MCU Foundation including social channels.
- Develop relationships with media outlets and external partners.
- Perform other related duties as requested and special projects as assigned.
- Bachelor or advanced degree in communications, journalism, public relations, marketing or related field.
- 10 years of communications experience. Financial services experience is preferred but not required.
- Written, verbal, and digital communications skills.
- Ability to work with corporate management, employees, media and the larger community.
- Proficiency with communication technologies and platforms.
- Impeccable copywriting and copy-editing abilities.
- Fluid writing style. Must be flexible to pivot when needed.
- Excellent verbal communication and presentation skills.
- Experience developing content for social media, web and mobile.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or other related software.
- Ability to perform in a high-volume environment and meet deadlines while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.

Salary : $110,000 - $120,000
