POSITION: Industrial Outside Sales Representative
Reports To: Sales Manager
Job Classification: Full-time, salaried
Position Summary:

We’ve been the Rocky Mountain Region's best source for hose, pumps, valves, fittings and other industrial goods, for over 55 years. We partner with our customers to solve problems and get the job done right.
The sales team is responsible for the overall success, growth and profitability of the sales area. As a Sales Team member, the Outside Sales Representative must possess high energy, be analytical, and have the passion and drive to take the business to the next level.
Essential Functions:
Account Management:
- Collaborate with Sales Manager to generate effective and focused Game Plans for all assigned Accounts and Leads.
- Develop customer relationship and contacts to gain sales.
- Work with Project Manager and internal team to generate and process quotes, orders and other customer requests.
Account prospecting and acquisition:
- Develop prospecting game plans through research and team collaboration for all prospect accounts assigned by Sales Manager.
- Seek out additional potential prospects – ask for referrals, research territory, work with Sales Manager to generate new leads and trends.
- Execute Prospect Game Plans to gain new business.
Teamwork and reporting:
- Attend regular sales meetings and complete reports as requested by Sales Manager.Collaborate closely with inside team – inside sales/support, purchasing, warehouse, assembly, management.
- Assist customers at the sales counter as needed and requested by Sales Manager.
Additional considerations:
- Deliverers an excellent customer experience in all customer interactions.
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and reviewing professional publications.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Requirements:

- Strategic selling: Willingness and desire to learn to identify and close strategic sales opportunities.
- Analytical skills: Strong problem-solving ability and strategic thinking.
- Computer skills: Must be able to navigate a wide range of computer programs.
- Past experience: Prior experience in sales or related field is a plus.
- Experience using a CRM program is a plus.
Other Considerations:
- Experience with Munro Supply’s primary product types, including pumps, hose, valves, and/or fittings a plus.
- Experience with Munro Supply’s primary industries, including irrigation, municipal, construction, mining and/or energy a plus.
- The position requires sight, standing, sitting, walking, talking and hearing.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record required.
Location: Grand Junction, Colorado.
Education level: High School diploma or GED required, Associates or Bachelors degree in business, marketing or a related field is a plus.
Travel required: 50% travel in Colorado and surrounding areas, very few nights away from home.
Compensation: Munro Supply offers a competitive compensation package, commensurate with experience. Base variable compensation for this position ranges from $50K-$80K to and includes benefits such as company-sponsored health, vision and dental insurance, 401K program, company vehicle, and more.
