About the Role:
As an Outside Sales Representative, you'll be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, nurturing relationships with existing clients, and achieving sales targets within your assigned territory. This role requires someone who is proactive, results-driven, and has excellent communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Prospecting and Lead Generation: Identify and research potential clients and leads within the assigned territory.
Cold call, email, and use other methods to initiate contact with potential customers.
Attend industry events and networking functions to build a strong pipeline of prospects.
Sales Presentations: Conduct product/service presentations to potential clients, showcasing the features and benefits.
Customize sales pitches to address the specific needs of each client.
Provide accurate and detailed information about the company's products or services.
Relationship Building: Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing clients to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty.
Act as the main point of contact for clients and address any concerns or issues promptly.
Regularly check in with clients to understand their evolving needs and preferences.
Sales Negotiation and Closing: Negotiate terms and conditions of sales agreements.
Work to overcome objections and close deals to meet or exceed sales targets.
Prepare and present proposals and contracts to clients.
Market Intelligence: Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market conditions.
Provide feedback to the sales and marketing teams on customer preferences and market demands.
Reporting and Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sales activities, including customer interactions, sales calls, and closed deals.
Prepare regular reports on sales performance and submit them to the regional sales manager.
Qualifications:
- 1-2 years of experience in outside sales or a related field.
- Familiarity with CRM software and sales tools is a plus.
- Willingness to travel within the assigned territory.
Skills Required:
- Strong computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Goal-oriented with a focus on achieving and exceeding sales targets.
Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent GED certification.
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field is preferred.
