Job Title: Service Attendant
Job Overview
A guest service attendant is responsible for providing excellent customer service to patrons at our gas station. This role involves assisting customers with fueling their vehicles, (Wednesdays only), performing routine maintenance checks, handling payments, and maintaining the cleanliness and safety of all the service areas. Basic duties include: Cleaning restrooms, showers, vacuuming, mopping, gathering trash and stocking coolers.
Key Responsibilities
1. Guest Assistance
- Greet customers as they arrive.
- Assist customers with fueling their vehicles (Full Service at the pumps on Wednesday "Hump Day, Help Day")
- Provide information on fuel types and prices.
- Offer additional services such as windshield cleaning, tire checks, etc.
3. Payments and Transactions
- Handle cash and card transactions efficiently.
- Provide receipts and handle any customer inquiries regarding payments.
- Maintain accurate records of sales and transactions.
4. Maintenance and Safety
- Perform routine checks on fuel pumps and equipment to ensure proper operation.
- Keep the service area clean and organized.
- Dispose of waste and hazardous materials following safety protocols.
- Adhere to safety regulations and procedures to prevent accidents and hazards.
- Snow plowing when applicable
Working Conditions:
- Fuel attendants typically work outdoors and may be exposed to varying weather conditions.
- The role may require evening, weekend, and holiday shifts.
- Uniforms and safety gear may be provided and required.
