Who We’re Looking For
Murdock Accounting Solutions is looking to add an Administrative Assistant to the firm. This person will play a vital role in keeping our organization running smoothly by managing daily office functions and ensuring accurate financial recordkeeping. This person would be described as highly organized, detail-oriented, and have a positive attitude. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and be proficient with data entry tasks. Trustworthiness is an important trait to this position.
Essential Functions
· Compile appropriate documents as requested.
· Maintain digital and physical organization for documents such as invoices, receipts, and reports.
· Accurately enter data into various software and systems including Google Suite, Microsoft Suite, Dext, QuickBooks Online and ClickUp.
· Provide general administrative support including managing tasks, responding to emails and handling phone calls.
· Ensure the office environment is clean, organized, and well stocked with necessary supplies.
Skills and Qualifications
· Proven experience in an administrative role; light bookkeeping skills are a plus.
· Proficiency in Google Suite applications (Docs, Sheets, Calendar, Gmail, Drive) and Microsoft Suite (Word and Excel).
· Strong attention to detail with the ability to perform work accurately and efficiently.
· Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize tasks and ensure that deadlines are met.
· Excellent interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal, with the capability to follow instructions.
· Strong ethical standards to handle client information with discretion.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Work Environment & Physical Demands
This position is largely sedentary, performed in an office environment, with some filing tasks that may require lifting file boxes and using a step stool as necessary.
Position Type & Working Hours
This is a part-time position requiring 15 to 25 hours a week, with preferred hours on weekdays between 8 AM and 8 PM, after training.
This position is located in southern Jackson County, near Lake Glenville.
Education & Experience
High School Diploma/GED required. Previous office experience preferred.
