We Are Looking For Someone Like You
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Construction QA/QC MEP Inspector to join our team. The QA/QC MEP Inspector will conduct thorough inspections and assessments of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems in our commercial construction projects. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of MEP systems, quality standards, construction practices, and meticulous attention to detail.
Your Day-to-Day at Murphy Company
- Perform comprehensive inspections of MEP installations to ensure compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate closely with project teams, contractors, and subcontractors to verify the accuracy and quality of MEP system installations.
- Review MEP design drawings, technical documentation, and other relevant materials to evaluate the work conducted effectively.
- Identify and document any deviations, deficiencies, or non-conformances in MEP systems and work with stakeholders to address them promptly.
- Assist in developing and implementing QA/QC procedures and checklists specific to MEP systems.
- Conduct tests and measurements to verify the functionality and performance of MEP systems, such as HVAC, electrical, and plumbing components.
- Generate detailed inspection reports outlining findings, observations, and recommendations for corrective actions.
- Participate in project meetings to provide insights on MEP systems' QA/QC status and collaborate on solutions to identified issues.
- Collaborate with construction teams to ensure adherence to safety regulations and guidelines during MEP installations.
- Stay informed about industry trends, codes, and regulations related to MEP systems and quality control.

Our ideal candidate should possess the following traits:
- High school diploma or equivalent. Technical or vocational training in a relevant field is preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a QA/QC inspector, preferably with a focus on MEP systems within commercial construction projects.
- Solid understanding of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing codes, standards, and best practices.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify discrepancies and non-conformances.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with various stakeholders and convey inspection findings.
- Proficiency in reading MEP design drawings, technical specifications, and related documentation.
- Familiarity with construction quality management software and tools for inspection reporting.
- Certifications related to quality control or relevant trade skills are advantageous.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced construction environment.
- Strong commitment to safety protocols and guidelines.
