Summary
The Inventory Coordinator is responsible for providing support to branch, sales, and rental personnel regarding machine and attachment orders, availability, and other information as needed for all makes represented and perform other duties as directed by the Corporate Inventory Manager.
Essential Functions
Sales Support
- Receive and process new orders for stock and sold machines and attachments
- Explore in stock wholegoods options prior to ordering
- Follow up and receive order acknowledgements for all aftermarket purchase orders auditing pricing and delivery accuracy
- Follow-up with JD and aftermarket suppliers on delinquent orders
- Audit and maintain quality of wholegoods stock number records in the company business system
- Audit and maintain quality of Inventory Team entries in Workflow
- Establish and maintain positive work relationships with Murphy management, sales and rental personnel, and branch support staff
- Establish and maintain positive work relationships with Aftermarket Supplier representatives acting as the intermediary between the sales staff and supplier when necessary
- Monitor PLAN generated orders and update order codes as directed
- Provide sales personnel with product specifications, availability of products, and order updates
- Provide support and backup to the Logistics Coordinator when needed
- Facilitate the return of products when necessary
- Submit and follow up on Overage and Shortage claims with the JD factory
Other Functions
- Prepare reports from company business system or other sources as request by management.
- Assist with other duties assigned and directed by corporate management within the frame work of Murphy Tractor and Equipment Company, Inc.’s objectives.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
- Intermediate computer skills including MS Windows, Word, Excel.
- Strong knowledge of office machines, including copier and printer.
- Understand and operates within applicable policy, procedure, rules and regulations.
- Ability to interact professionally with other employees, customers and vendors.
- Ability to use interpersonal skills necessary to communicate and follow instructions effectively with a diverse group of employees, customers, and vendors to provide information with courtesy and tact.

Physical Requirements and Work Schedule
Employee must be able to do occasional lifting of up to 30 lbs.
Education/Work Experience
High school diploma or GED required. Two year degree from a college or school or at least three years related experience and/or training preferred.
