Summary
As a Marketing Coordinator at Murphy-Wall State Bank, you will be instrumental in driving our marketing initiatives across various channels. This role is vital to enhancing our brand presence and supporting our mission to meet the needs of our customers.
Responsibilities
Marketing, Communication and Public Relations:
Responsible for creating, implementing and measuring the success of a comprehensive marketing, communications and public relations program that will enhance Murphy-Wall State Bank and Trust Company’s image and position within the marketplace and general public. Responsible for facilitating internal and external communications and all marketing, communication, and public relations activities including publications, media relations, and so forth.
Responsible for ensuring articulation of bank’s desired image and position that is consistent communicated to constituencies, both internal and external; Editorial direction, design, production, and distribution of publications.
Responsible for coordination of appropriate representation with the media and media interest and ensure regular contact with target media and appropriate response to media requests.
Responsible for coordinating the appearance of all bank print and electronic materials such as letterhead, use of logo, brochures, etc.;
Responsible for ensuring that bank regularly conducts relevant market research. Perform local market analysis and research. Monitor trends.
Attend grand openings, chamber of commerce events, community events, special events, corporate sponsorships, product promotions, and other activities that would assist in fulfilling job requirements.
Assist with the development, coordination, and oversight or programs, technical assistance and resource materials to departments of bank.
Lead other special projects as assigned.
Planning and Budgeting
Responsible for the achievement of marketing/communications/public relations mission, goals, and financial objectives. Recommend short and long term goals and objectives to the President/CEO. Ensure evaluation related to these goals and objectives and report to President/CEO.
Responsible for developing short and long term plans and budgets for the marketing/communications and public relations program and its activities. Monitor progress, assure adherence, and evaluate performance. Develop, implement, and monitor systems and procedures necessary to the smooth operation of the marketing/communications/public relations function.
Keep informed of developments in the fields of marketing, communications and public relations and use this information to help the bank operate with initiative and innovation.
Organizational Strategy
Work with Executive Officers and Branch Managers to develop and maintain a strategic perspective based on marketplace and constituent needs and satisfaction. Develop and coordinate means to seek regular input from key staff members regarding the quality of programs and services and the bank’s relevance. Help make sure that the bank’s philosophy, mission, and vision are pertinent and practiced throughout the organization.
Act as internal consultant to bring attention and solutions to institutional priorities
May be required to assist in other departments as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- Proven experience in digital marketing and content creation.
- Strong understanding of SEO best practices and analytics tools.
- Familiarity with marketing automation platforms is preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
- Creative mindset with strong organizational skills.
- Knowledge of HTML.
- Exceptional knowledge of Microsoft Office products
- Strong leadership skills, self-starter
- Banking Experience preferred
Other Qualifications: Must be able to travel to other Murphy-Wall State Bank and Trust Company facility locations as needed.
