A growing manufacturer is seeking an AR Account Specialist to assist with a variety of AR tasks. The ideal candidate is a highly organized problem-solver, well-versed in full-cycle receivables.

Location: Mahwah, NJ
Type of Position: Direct Hire – Fully Onsite
Responsibilities:
- Manage and update customer accounts, consistently monitoring outstanding balances and payment histories.
- Review customer remittances and match them with outstanding invoices. Verify payment details, including checks, wire transfers, and credit card transactions, to ensure they align with the amount due.
- Quickly identify and resolve payment discrepancies by collaborating with customers to address any issues or disputes.
- Effectively communicate any accounts receivable concerns to the Accounts Receivable Manager.
- Prepare and generate AR reports, including aging reports, cash receipts summaries, and any required ad hoc reports.
- Conduct bank reconciliations across multiple companies to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial records.
- Record intercompany transactions, including those with foreign entities, while adhering to transfer pricing guidelines and ensuring proper documentation, reconciliation, and consolidation.
- Support month-end financial tasks, such as loan and mortgage entries, balance sheet and income statement reconciliations, and fluctuation analyses.
- Perform inventory adjustments and valuations as needed.
- Provide ad-hoc reporting for internal leadership.
Requirements:
- 5 years of full cycle Accounts Receivable
- AR experience with big box vendor portals required (Amazon, Target, Walmart, etc.)
- Experience working in large ERP systems; preferably NetSuite
- Advanced MS Excel required
- Strong communication skills and ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
