Responsibilities :
Develop and maintain a comprehensive safety program, policies, and procedures in line with industry best practices and legal requirements.
Conduct risk assessments and audits to identify potential hazards and areas for improvement.
Collaborate with department heads and managers to assess safety needs and provide guidance on safety-related matters.
Coordinate safety training programs, ensuring all employees are equipped with the knowledge and skills necessary to maintain a safe workplace.
Monitor incident reports and investigations, analyzing trends, and implementing corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends, new regulations, and advancements in safety technology to continuously enhance the company's safety standards.
Act as the primary liaison with regulatory agencies and serve as an expert resource on safety matters during inspections and audits.
Provide timely and accurate safety reports to management, identifying key performance indicators and areas of concern.
Foster a safety-first culture by promoting awareness, accountability, and ownership at all levels of the organization.
Requirements :
Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Industrial Engineering, or a related field; A master's degree is a plus
Proven experience of 10 years as a safety manager or director in a corporate environment
Strong knowledge of safety regulations, standards, and best practices (OSHA, ANSI, etc.)
Demonstrated ability to develop and implement successful safety programs
Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively train and educate employees at all levels
Detail-oriented with exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to work collaboratively and influence change within a diverse workforce
Certification such as CSP (Certified Safety Professional) or CIH (Certified Industrial Hygienist) is desirable
