What are the responsibilities and job description for the IT Technician position at Murtech Staffing and Solutions?
Hours: Full time, M-F, 8am-5pm
Location: Chicago, IL 60607
Duration: 6 month contract (long-term potential)
Description:
- Provide support to all US and Mexico Dyson employees locally and remotely.
- Wipe and Image Windows & Mac laptops to make ready to be deployed for new users or those needing to be replaced for hardware/software issues.
- Asset documentation and tracking is essential and monthly audits are conducted.
- Replace faulty A/V equipment around the Chicago office.
- Wipe and set aside all out of warranty laptops, phones, and other peripherals that are considered E-waste and arrange disposal pick up for equipment being recycled.
Skills:
- Attendance and attention to detail are paramount for the candidate to be successful.
- Familiar with laptop deployments
- Troubleshooting skills with hardware and software
- Ability to setup, configure and add hardware
- A certification is a bonus
- Must be able stay focused, working independently
