Job Title: Emergency Medicine APP (NP/PA)
MUSC Health - PeeDee Division - Marion Medical Center seeks an experienced Advanced Practice Provider to lead our Emergency Department team.
About the Role
This is a dynamic opportunity for a skilled Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our emergency medicine team. The selected candidate will provide high-quality patient care, work collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals, and contribute to the development of our emergency department.
Responsibilities
- Provides direct patient care through comprehensive histories, physical examinations, and treatment plans based on evidence-based guidelines
- Initiates referrals to specialists and consults with attending physicians as needed
- Documents and bills for services provided
- Participates in quality improvement initiatives and clinical research projects
- Collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care
Requirements
- Completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program and current licensure as a Physician Assistant or completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program and current licensure as an APRN
- FNP certification preferred
- Minimum 2 years of emergency room experience as a PA or NP
- Current certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
Physical Requirements
The selected candidate must be able to perform job functions while standing, walking, and sitting. Ability to lift, lower, push, and pull objects weighing up to 50 pounds, exert up to 50 pounds of force, and maintain 20/40 vision corrected.
