Job Description
Performs Nocturnal Polysomnograms, Multiple Sleep Latency studies and CPAP titrations, through the use of specialized equipment, on customers ranging in age from infant to the aged. Assumes responsibility and accountability for patients in the department and provides care to these patients through assessment, observation and documentation. Performs other related duties incidental to the work described within. Work is primarily independent.
Experience: Previous Polysomnogram experience is required.
PRN Status Clause
This is a PRN as-needed position, you must be available to work at least 12 hours bi-weekly, as needed according to departmental demands. You may be required to work additional hours if requested by your supervisor to accomplish work objectives. Work hours may vary (increase or decrease) depending on the needs of the unit.
Additional Job Description
Minimum Training and Education: High school diploma/GED is required.
Licensure/Certifications: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) with the American Heart Association (AHA) is required before orientating on the unit. Current Certified Polysomnographic Technician (CPSGT) or Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) is required.
