The RN - School-Based Telepresenter / Wellness Coordinator reports to the Lead School-Based Telepresenter / Wellness Coordinator. Under indirect supervision, the Telepresenter utilizes telemedicine equipment (exam camera, otoscope, stethoscope, and video conference) to present the patient to providers at MUSC or in the local community. This position provides administrative support to the School-Based Telehealth program in assigned location. This role attends school and community events to promote the program and engage in public health efforts through school and community programing and identifies high-risk students. This position serves as a care coordinator, which includes directing families to resources such as Medicaid, SNAP, WIC, home energy assistance, and other community assistance programs. The position covers schools in Charleston and the surrounding counties

Job Description
Education : Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from an accredited school of nursing with a minimum of five years’ work experience as a Registered Nurse in a Pediatric Critical Care, Cardiac and / or Surgery, or within the clinical specialty area. Experience in Performance Improvement (PI) programs and processes; ability to utilize data for program analysis; demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal and customer service skills; ability to collaboratively work with all disciplines. Excellent computer skills; Word, Excel, etc. Certification : Licensure as a registered nurse by the South Carolina Board of Nursing or compact state. Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or American Red Cross BLS for Healthcare Providers certification is required. Proof of current training in AED for health care providers. Some positions require a valid driver's license. Certification as a generalist in a related specialty area by the American Nurses Association (ANA) strongly encouraged.
