Department Overview:
The Human Resources (HR) department exits to support the strategic and operational human capital needs of the organization. The HR team works with all MDA business units to provide support in all areas of human resources to include culture, employee engagement, retention, talent acquisition, employee benefit programs, performance and compensation, training & organizational effectiveness, internal communications, diversity, equity, and inclusion. To provide a foundational human resource infrastructure to ensure that staff are treated consistently and respectfully and to ensure that we continue to have the appropriate staffing capacity to achieve gross revenue and profitability targets
Position Description:
The two pillars of long-term success are the business and the people. The mission of the Manager, Leadership & People Development is to develop a culture of continuous learning and development at MDA at all levels. This position reporting directly to the Senior Director, Leadership & People Development, will plan, organize, and conduct training programs including needs assessments, designing curriculum, online and in-person delivery, program evaluation, and facilitating group training.
What you'll do:
- Design, develop, deliver, and evaluate training and instructional materials that focus on applicable, role relevant, real-world/workplace skills.
- Consult with HR and supervisors to identify specific learning needs and interventions to provide solutions and resources that positively impact results.
- Collaborating with stakeholders and SMEs to assess, design, curate and develop/produce learning activities and course content to support staff learning needs, short-term and long-term goals, and overall organizational effectiveness.
- Work with colleagues and identify external resources to effectively design and implement consistent learning programs and facilitation materials that align with the vision, mission and values and key performance initiatives.
- Manage and maintain learning content and data within the Learning Management System.
- Prepares, develops, assigns, and tracks completion of learning content.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Salary Range: This position's salary range is $60,000 - $63,000. Final offer amounts and levels are determined by multiple factors, including your experience, and may vary from the amounts listed above.
What we are looking for:
- Bachelor's Degree in related area.
- 5 years of training and facilitation or relevant experience.
- Excellent understanding and knowledge in the areas of management training, leadership, performance and talent development, culture and change management.
- Strong oral and verbal communication skills in 1:1 or large group settings.
- Shown success in providing professional guidance and support to staff to help them achieve their goals.
- Ability to present and train content in clear and professional manner and flexibility to change approach to meet the needs of the audience as necessary.
- Ability to interact and build relationships with staff across multiple levels and locations.
- Ability to deliver training and development in a virtual environment.
- Strong project management skills, including organization, prioritization, and problem-solving abilities.
