Join us in an essential role where you'll support both our customers and team members to ensure the smooth operation of our financial processes.

We are looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Billing/AP/Accounting/Bookkeeping Clerk to join our team in Phoenix, Arizona. In this role, you will play a key part in managing various accounting and administrative tasks, ensuring that our billing, accounts payable, and bookkeeping operations run smoothly.

The ideal candidate will be someone who thrives in a fast-paced, hands-on environment, and has the ability to handle various financial functions with accuracy. Schedule: 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM Monday through Saturday; with Wednesdays and Sundays off. Shifts may vary based on seasonality and business needs.

Pay Rate:$19-$21 per hour with potential for more based on your qualifications.

Accounting Associate Primary Responsibilities

  • Perform daily accounting tasks including recording transactions, reconciling accounts, and processing invoices.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures, ensuring all financial activities are accurately reflected.
  • Prepare and review financial reports, statements, and summaries for management.
  • Maintain and update financial records, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Handle accounts payable and receivable functions, including vendor management and customer invoicing.
  • Conduct regular audits of financial records to identify discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis activities.
  • Respond to accounting-related inquiries from employees, vendors, and clients in a timely and professional manner.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
  • Handle local bills with drivers and collect payments.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve customer and vendor issues promptly and professionally.
  • Track labor pay and other data using Excel.
  • Accurately input invoices into our accounting systems.
  • Assist with other billing, accounts payable, and bookkeeping tasks as needed.

Accounting Associate Requirements & Minimum Qualifications

  • Skills:
    • Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial regulations.
    • Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes, technologies, and changes in financial regulations.
    • Forward thinking, problem solving, and the ability to succeed under tight deadlines.
    • Experience working well with others and contributing to team goals.
    • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with colleagues, customers, and company partners.
    • Proficiency in computer skills and MS Office suite to perform essential tasks.
    • Ability to analyze data and articulate the findings to management.
    • Exceptional organizational, time management, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to manage multiple projects and details simultaneously.
    • Maintain a professional appearance and demonstrate self-direction, tact, and diplomacy in a clear, courteous, and professional manner.
Education/Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field; or
  • Two to three years of experience in accounts payable, bookkeeping, administration, customer service, or accounting. This could include internships or entry-level positions where accounting functions were performed.
  • Proficiency in using QuickBooks Online is highly desirable. This includes familiarity with creating and managing financial records, generating reports, and performing reconciliation tasks.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
