Status: Part-time, non-exempt, permanent employee
Location: Remote - Southern California
Reports To: Director of Operations
Compensation: Hourly range $25 to $28 per hour, 401k
Primary Responsibilities:
- Human Resources Coordination
- Bi-weekly Payroll Processing
- Benefit Administration
Human Resources Coordination
- Assist in hiring processes, including posting job ads, reviewing resumes, and scheduling interviews.
- Maintain and update employee records (personal data, job roles, benefits, etc.)
- Support employee onboarding, including preparing new hire documentation, conducting orientation sessions, and ensuring all paperwork is completed accurately.
- Monitor employee attendance, track leave balances (sick, vacation, etc.), and assist in managing time-off requests.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, labor laws, and regulatory requirements related to HR practices.
- Ensure company handbook is regularly reviewed and updated to remain in compliance with labor laws and regulatory requirements.
- Assist with employee relations matters, ensuring a positive and respectful work environment.
- Support performance management processes, including scheduling performance reviews and maintaining review records.
Bi-weekly Payroll Processing
- Process payroll on a bi-weekly basis for all employees, ensuring accuracy in pay, deductions, and benefits.
- Review timesheets, reconcile payroll discrepancies, and make necessary adjustments.
- Maintain payroll records and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
Benefits Administration:
- Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
- Assist employees with benefits enrollment, changes, and inquiries.
- Coordinate with benefits providers and ensure accurate and timely processing of benefits-related tasks.
- Administer state and federal leaves of absence.
Required Qualifications / Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in HR roles, with a focus on payroll, recruitment, and employee relations.
- Strong understanding of employment laws, regulations, and HR best practices.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Adobe.
- HR Certification
Prefered Qualifications / Skills:
- Experience using payroll platforms (iSolved, ADP, and/or Paychex)
