Gift Analyst (Regular, Full-Time)

Gift Processing & Data

Reporting to the Senior Manager of Gift Processing, the Data Gift Analyst will assists with gift recording and data management in Tessitura. As part of the Data Management team, this team member is experienced in entering all types of gifts, ranging from major gifts to simple gifts; knowing how to code according to complexity. They need to be flexible to handle the fluctuation in workload, while meeting batch processing deadlines. They are responsible for guiding / training the Jr. Gift Analyst and can be trusted as an expert to answer gift-related questions from the Development and other teams.

Responsibilities

  • Creates batches from daily Development transmittals and Membership sales reports for Onsite and Web in Tessitura
  • Processes and reviews gifts, via batch entry; ensures that appropriate appeal, fund and campaign codes for tracking and acknowledgement purposes are complete and accurate
  • Adds new and updates existing constituent records in the database as needed, analyzes information and populates all appropriate data fields where information is available
  • Assists in data cleanup activities in Tessitura
  • Handles requests / questions from frontline staff for constituent and gift related questions; responsible for closing communication loop when requests are completed
  • Responsible for charging gifts via Tessitura
  • Responsible for recording checks and delivering to Accounting for deposit at close of business
  • Manages a system for refund requests; responsible for providing Accounting with refund documents for processing in a timely manner
  • Responsible for filing media with corresponding gift batches; also responsible for filing batches in correct sequence for archival purposes.
  • Backup for Jr. Gift Analyst retrieving daily reports for Onsite and Web
  • Backup for Supervisor, Gift Processing to pull recurring gifts to edit, and charge via Tessitura
  • Performs other duties or special projects as assigned
  • Maintains regular and reliable attendance

  • The expected hourly rate for this Los Angeles, CA based position is $24.00-$25.00, subject to change, and the position is eligible for LACMA’s comprehensive. benefits package, including pension plan.

    • Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in related field
  • Experience with data entry procedures and knowledge of the features and capabilities of database software
  • General administrative experience is preferred
  • Tessitura experience preferred
  • Ability to type a minimum of 60 words per minute
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret large amounts of data and technical procedures
