Looking for a fun, exciting summer? MOSI is looking for Tech instructors to inspire campers. As a Tech Instructor at MOSI, your job is to challenge, empower, and inspire campers in a variety of topics within the fields of technology. Apply your specialized skill set to create a fun and engaging learning environment for campers to become digital creators and hands-on makers. You can teach 1, or more, subjects such as - Minecraft, robotics, gaming, coding, designing 3D models, tinkering with electronics, or fabricating prototypes using 3D printers. Function: Develop and deliver curriculum for our campers to be learning, making, tinkering and exploring technology content through a hands-on approach.
Responsibilities:
- Work collaboratively with MOSI staff and outside experts to create and deliver camp programming.
- Create and implement innovative, project oriented, and hands-on activities during camp.
- Develop lesson plans for each scheduled week of camp.
- Participate in mandatory instructor training and orientation
- Greet parents and students in a friendly and energetic manner.
- Set a positive tone and demonstrate a professional attitude to deliver a quality summer camp experience for all participants.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree preferred; Two-year degree or 5 years relevant experience may be substituted
- Certified Florida Teaching Credential a plus
- Proficiency in one or more of the technology subjects
- Dependable and flexible with work schedule and duties
- Experience serving diverse audiences of children
- First Aid and/or CPR certification a plus
- Must be approved to work with children (clear Level II Background Screening through Department of Children & Families required)
Dates, Hours, and Locations:
- Every week is a new week with different camps, different students, and different teachers.
- Weekly programs from June 2, 2025 - August 8, 2025
- Mandatory Orientation May 10, 2025
- Completed Kindergarten - 8th Grade Full-Day Camps: 8:30 a.m. - 4:15 p.m.
Flexible Schedule:
- Work the majority of the summer or just a few weeks. (You must commit to the entire week)
Compensation:
- Hours and rates of pay include preparation time.
- Instructors will be paid $650/week when teaching a full 5-day camp
