What You'll Accomplish
- Support the growth of our digital reach by assisting our team of digital content creators during audio and video productions, including equipment setup, camera assistance, lighting and sound. The candidate will gain on-set experience working with a team of professional video producers and VIP talent.
- Contribute to the development of engaging digital content by creating visually appealing thumbnails for videos and images optimized for social media and in-line with the Museum's branding guidelines.
- Help ensure a smooth workflow between videographers and editors by capturing, organizing, and distributing raw footage directly following a production.
- Enhance accessibility for our digital content by developing accurate closed captions for our video products, ensuring our digital channels are accessible to all.
- Assist in uploading and organizing content within the Museum's CMS (content management system), ensuring that all digital materials are properly categorized, tagged, and accessible to the public.
Technical Chops
- Proficiency with professional video production equipment, including mirrorless cameras, lights, microphones, and different cable types.
- Knowledge of non-linear video editing programs, such as Adobe Premiere Pro.
- Experience in content production for a variety of social media platforms, including Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok.
- Someone who will embrace the opportunity to gain valuable experience in all aspects of video production and take ownership of their roles and responsibilities both off-and-on set.
- 28 hours max per week
