What You'll Accomplish
- Research Federal, state, and local government grant opportunities;
- Draft portions of government grant applications;
- Research Federal and state legislation relating to the Museum;
- Assist with the creation and implementation of the Museum's Public Policy Platform;
- Assist with the creation of any Grassroots Advocacy Campaigns;
- Schedule and prepare materials for meetings with government officials; and
- Provide follow up information after these meetings.
- Intelligence: Learns quickly. Demonstrates ability to quickly and proficiently understand, absorb, and synthesize new information.
- Communication: Speaks and writes clearly and articulately with executive presence. Maintains this standard in all forms of written communication including email.
- Technical Chops: Job-related technical skills needed to complete the work at a high level of quality.
- Analytical Skills: Able to structure and process qualitative or quantitative data and draw insightful conclusions from it. Exhibits a probing mind and achieves penetrating insights.
- Attention to Detail: Does not let important details slip through the cracks or derail a project.
- Hybrid, max 28 hours per week
