Position Summary
The Exhibits and Rotations Coordinator plays a critical role as a project manager on the Exhibits team. The primary role of the coordinator is to implement the artifact rotation plan for our permanent exhibitions, working with a cross-divisional group of curators, conservators, and collections managers. The coordinator will assist the Exhibit Design & Project Manager in the execution of both permanent and temporary exhibit projects by being the main liaison between the exhibits team and other museum departments. In this role, the coordinator will have the opportunity to serve as an important hub of communication.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Artifact Rotations (40%): Implementing the permanent gallery artifact rotations, including managing scheduling, organizing workflow, tracking information, and coordinating with curators, conservators, and registrars.
- Exhibit Coordinating (40%): Coordinating with multiple departments on exhibit-related projects, arranging meetings, circulating schedules, meeting agendas, tracking documents, and other materials under the direction of the Exhibit Design & Project Manager.
- Exhibit Project Management (20%): Assisting with the management of ongoing and upcoming temporary exhibitions, traveling exhibitions, permanent exhibition updates, and other museum curatorial projects.
Knowledge
- B.A. in art history, archaeology, museum studies, arts management, or related field; M.A. preferred.
- 1-3 years of museum experience strongly desired.
- 1-3 years of project management experience strongly desired.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Familiarity with database systems preferred, specifically with TMS (The Museum System).
- Familiarity with project management software preferred, specifically with Wrike.
- Must be a team player and work well with others.
- Must be highly organized and detail oriented.
- Able to prioritize projects and be flexible.
- Schedule: Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week. Occasional early mornings/evenings, as needed.

Salary : $55,000 - $65,000
