Marketing Communications Manager
Job Summary: Reports to the Vice President of Marketing.
The Marketing Communications Manager drives the execution of integrated marketing strategies in alignment with organizational objectives set by the VP of Marketing and in collaboration with the VP of Experience. This role may at times lead cross-functional teams to deliver compelling marketing initiatives, manage large-scale events, oversee donor and sponsor relations programs, and manage both internal and external communications channels to enhance client-brand presence and stakeholder engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Marketing Leadership:
- Execute comprehensive marketing and communications strategies.
- Analyze marketing performance metrics and prepare executive reports with recommendations for strategy optimization.
Lead the conceptualization and implementation of integrated marketing campaigns across multiple channels.
Team Management & Coordination:
- Oversee and mentor marketing staff, cross-departmental team members, and temporary/event personnel.
- Coordinate with external creative agencies, ensuring deliverables meet brand standards and strategic objectives.
- Manage project workflows and resource allocation across multiple initiatives and teams.
Foster collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders to ensure marketing initiatives support departmental needs.
Donor & Sponsor Relations:
- Develop and execute strategic communication plans for donor engagement and retention.
- Oversee sponsor benefit fulfillment and maintain ongoing relationship management.
- Create compelling donor recognition programs and sponsorship packages.
Coordinate the overall team to align marketing efforts with fundraising initiatives.
Event & Experience Management:
- Lead the planning and execution of high-profile organizational events, including donor receptions, sponsor activations, and community engagements.
- Oversee event marketing materials, promotional campaigns, and post-event communications.
- Integrate practical project management processes shared between departments.
- Manage event budgets, vendor relationships, and staff coordination.
- Ensure consistent brand experience across all event touchpoints.
Oversee Sponsor packages are implemented as agreed upon.
Marketing Communications & Content:
- Direct the development and distribution of marketing collateral across print and digital platforms.
- Oversee website content strategy, social media presence, and digital marketing initiatives.
- Manage brand guidelines and ensure consistency across all communications channels.
Guide the creation of compelling narratives that engage target audiences and support organizational objectives.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field OR equivalent experience;
- 3-5 years of progressive marketing experience, including team management responsibilities required..
- Demonstrated success in developing and executing integrated marketing campaigns.
- Strong understanding of donor relations and sponsor management.
- Excellent project management and budget oversight capabilities.
Superior written and verbal communication skills.

Work Environment:
Salaried, Full-time, 40 hours per week. Hybrid/on-site. Travel 25-50%, Weekend/Evening hours. Fast-paced environment requiring ability to manage multiple priorities.
