What are the responsibilities and job description for the Kindermusik Teacher position at Music Connections Foundation?
Are you a school teacher, stay-at-home mom, empty nester, or musician looking for a few extra hours of work a week?
Do you have a love for music and teaching young children? Are you energetic, patient, and a good communicator? Do you resonate with the thought of making a difference by teaching music?
Then teaching Kindermusik® here at Music Connections Foundation (MCF) could be the perfect opportunity for you!
We are looking to hire teachers who can sing well, relate well with adults, and absolutely adore young children from newborns to big kids. Our Kindermusik® teachers have a wonderful variety of personalities and backgrounds, but all of them love music, love to teach, and most importantly, to build close relationships with the children and families in their classes.
With morning, afternoon, and evening classes, we can customize a teaching schedule that works for you. So you can teach a little, or you can teach a lot! We hire teachers who can teach year around, but in the summers teaching schedules are typically reduced and we offer limited classes during June and July only, with the month of August completely off; our school year calendar begins the week after Labor Day. We take 4 additional weeks off during the school year.
We are currently in need, especially, of afternoon / evening teachers for:
- 1 - 2 afternoon / evenings a week, Monday - Thursday (3:30 - 7:00 pm)
Potential positions for the summer/fall of 2025 could combine an afternoon/evening session with:
- 1 - 2 mornings per week, Monday - Thursday
- Saturday Mornings
- a combination of the above that you would help to customize!
Experience / Strengths:
- Teaching or Early Childhood Related Experience: 1 year (Preferred)
- Music experience: 1 year minimum (Required)
When you join our Kindermusik® team here at MCF, you’ll get help with
licensing and training through Kindermusik International, on-the-job observation,
curricula training, teaching support, and more!
Plus, there’s nothing quite like the joy of bringing a smile to a child’s face and knowing you’re having a big impact in their lives and the lives of their families through music!
