Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Bookkeeper to join our team. As a Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining financial records, performing account reconciliations, and assisting with budgeting and financial reporting. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of financial concepts, is proficient in double entry bookkeeping, and has experience with corporate accounting.
Duties:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using accounting software (e.g., Quicken)
- Perform bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy of transactions
- Reconcile accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Prepare and process invoices, payments, and expense reports
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes
- Prepare financial Reports
- Collaborate with internal teams to provide financial insights and support decision-making processes
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of budgeting, public accounting, and financial concepts
- Proficiency in balance sheet reconciliation and account reconciliation
- Familiarity with double entry bookkeeping principles
- Exceptional organization skills
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficient in using accounting software, sage50 is a plus
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
