What are the responsibilities and job description for the Music Lesson Instructor position at Music Therapy Connections?
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Music Lesson Instructor to join our team. We are looking for an individual to teach guitar lessons and/or voice lessons primarily. Any individual also able to teach guitar, ukulele, piano, voice or any combination of would be a welcome additional to our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in music, experience working with children, and a commitment to fostering a love for music in students of all ages. This position involves teaching individuals ages 5 various musical concepts and techniques while creating an engaging and supportive learning environment.
Duties
- Develop and implement lesson structure that cater to the diverse needs of students.
- Teach basic/beginner music theory, instrument techniques, and musical skills to students at different skill levels.
- Foster creativity and self-expression through music activities and performances.
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to encourage improvement.
- Communicate with parents and caregivers of students regarding progress.
Skills
- Musical ability on instrument of instruction.
- Experience working with children is highly desirable.
- Ability to educate students effectively through engaging instructional methods.
- A passion for music and the ability to inspire students through creative teaching practices.
