We are seeking a motivated and student-focused Admissions Advisor, Enrollment Specialist to support both new student recruitment and re-enrollment efforts for current and returning students. This role is responsible for guiding prospective students through the admissions process while also working to retain and re-enroll existing students who may have paused their studies. The ideal candidate will have a passion for student success and a strong understanding of music education.
Key Responsibilities:
Admissions & New Student Recruitment:
Serve as a key point of contact for prospective students, providing guidance on programs, admissions requirements, and financial aid.
Conduct outreach to prospective students through high volume phone calls, emails, virtual meetings and in-person events.
Collaborate with the marketing team to develop materials and campaigns that promote MI College of Music programs.
Maintain detailed records of student interactions and track enrollment progress.
Re-Enrollment & Student Retention:
Engage with current and former students to encourage continued enrollment in certificate, diploma, or degree programs. Identify students who have withdrawn or paused their studies and develop personalized re-enrollment plans.
Address barriers to re-enrollment, such as academic concerns, financial challenges, or scheduling conflicts, by connecting students with appropriate resources.
Work closely with academic advisors and faculty to ensure students stay on track for graduation.
Track and analyze retention and re-enrollment trends to improve student success initiatives.
Specific Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Experience in admissions, student advising, enrollment, preferably in higher education. is required.
- Ability to display enthusiasm and interact with people in a positive manner.
- Passion for helping students succeed in their education and careers.
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
- Highly collaborative, curious, creative and team focused.
- Experience with CRM systems and student databases is highly desired.
