What are the responsibilities and job description for the Technical Coordinator/RRC position at Muskegon County?
The Technical Coordinator/RRC, under general direction and review of the RRC Director, performs day-to-day operations relating to databases utilized by the RRC laboratory and IPP departments. This employee also maintains the RRC website. The Technical Coordinator/RRC maintains a working relationship with all recreational organizations present at the RRC as well as maintains the visitor and hunting pass databases. The Technical Coordinator/RRC and works independently with minimal supervision and initiates many of their own projects.
1. Possess a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Science, Computer Science or closely related field; AND
Have a minimum of three (3) years full-time work experience in some aspect of a Water Resource Recovery Facility operation, with work experience to include using Access® database applications; OR
Possess an advanced degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Science, Computer Science or closely related field; AND
Have a minimum of one (1) year full-time work experience in some aspect of a Water Resource Recovery Facility operation, with work experience to include using Access® database applications.
2. Must have a valid driver’s license.PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES
An employee in this class performs generally sedentary activities requiring the occasional lifting of objects weighing thirty-five (35) pounds or less.
ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS
This employee works in the offices of the Muskegon County Resource Recovery Center. Travel throughout Muskegon County may be required.EVALUATION CONTENT
The selected candidate must take a post-offer medical examination (including back screen and complete physical) and drug screening test given by a County appointed physician before the first day of employment. An offer of employment is contingent upon the results of the medical examination and drug screening test. Applicants for County employment may be subject to a post-offer criminal background check, depending on the nature and assignment of the position. When such check is conducted, an offer of employment is contingent upon the results of the criminal background check. Appointees must satisfactorily complete a probationary period before the appointment will be considered permanent.
