Job Overview
Well established law firm with multiple locations is seeking a dedicated Associate Attorney to work in the busy probate and estate planning division of our firm. The ideal candidate will possess a strong desire to work with clients in preparation of estate documents and a willingness to handle probate court matters. Work will be with a firm shareholder available to mentor in-house. This role requires excellent communication skills and empathy for clients. The Associate Attorney will be responsible for working with legal staff in preparing estate documents and probate court filings.
Duties
- Draft legal documents, including wills, trusts, probate court pleadings, motions, and contracts.
- Represent clients in probated court court proceedings .
- Collaborate with senior attorney on complex cases and provide assistance as needed.
- Maintain accurate case files and documentation to ensure compliance with legal standards.
- Communicate effectively with clients to provide updates on document preparation and case progress and address any concerns.
- Stay informed about changes in laws and regulations relevant to practice areas.
Requirements
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the South Carolina bar.
- Strong knowledge and/or willingness to learn probate law.
- Experience working in a law office setting is highly desirable.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Pay: $75,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
