The MVP Consulting Group has been retained to assist our client in recruiting a dedicated, motivated Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist for their well-established Inpatient and Treatment Program in Kansas City, Kansas.
$300,000 - $450,000 annual income

Here is what we are looking for: We are seeking a Board-Certified Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist with an active Kansas Medical License and DEA Registration. The ideal candidate will have experience providing psychiatric care to children and adolescents across various treatment settings. This individual will be responsible for conducting comprehensive assessments, providing diagnoses, and developing treatment plans. The psychiatrist will collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams and play an essential role in delivering compassionate, high-quality care to young patients in need.
The primary responsibilities of this position will include working with a diverse patient population, including children and adolescents, and ensuring the delivery of exceptional care that aligns with the client's mission to provide the highest standard of psychiatric treatment.
Job profile: Inpatient
Clinical Responsibilities:
- Perform psychiatric evaluations and assessments for patients, establishing comprehensive treatment plans.
- Administer medication management, including education on side effects and treatment options.
- Provide individual psychotherapy and crisis intervention when necessary.
- Maintain patient care through coordination with primary care providers, psychiatric specialists, and medical teams.
- Actively participate in case-conference and case management activities.
Requirements:
- Board Certification in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in child and adolescent psychiatry, post residency
- Proven experience working with diverse patient populations, including children and adolescents, in various treatment settings
- Strong background in assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of child and adolescent psychiatric conditions
- Experience in supervisory roles, working with multidisciplinary teams
- Administrative experience in a behavioral health setting
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with other providers and support staff
