Responsibilities
- Contract drafting and editing : Preparing initial contract documents, including terms and conditions, based on company policies and legal requirements with an emphasis on trucking and transportation to include carrier agreements, broker agreements, interchange agreements, drop yard agreements and other agreements or documents related to trucking and transportation.
- Negotiation : Discussing and finalizing contract details with relevant parties to reach mutually agreeable terms.
- Contract review and analysis : Thoroughly examining contracts for accuracy, clarity, and potential legal risks.
- Compliance monitoring : Tracking contract performance to ensure all parties are fulfilling their obligations as outlined in the agreement.
- Contract management system upkeep : Maintaining a centralized database of all contracts and relevant documentation
- Stakeholder communication : Collaborating with internal departments like legal, sales, and finance to address contract-related issues.
- Dispute resolution : Facilitating communication and attempting to resolve any contract-related disputes that may arise.
- Vendor management : Overseeing contracts with external vendors and suppliers.
- Contract renewal process : Managing the renewal or renegotiation of expiring contracts.
