JOB SUMMARY
The Quality Inspector I will be responsible for ensuring that all products meet the stringent quality standards required in the manufacturing industry, particularly those outlined by AS9100 certification. This role involves performing inspections, conducting tests, and verifying compliance with specifications to ensure product integrity and reliability.

Quality Manager
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Perform inspections, test products, and perform quality-related activities .
- Review and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and work orders to understand inspection requirements.
- Utilize precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, optical comparator, thread gauges, etcs. to perform dimensional checks.
- Implement and adhere to AS9102 processes for First Article Inspection (FAI) to validate manufacturing processes.
- Document any non-conformances found during inspections and collaborate with production teams to resolve issues promptly.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing product quality and operational efficiency.
- Uses ERP software to update work orders.
- Other duties as assigned.
SKILLS and ABILITIES
- Familiarity with quality control methodologies and tools used in manufacturing environments.
- Computer skills (MS Outlook, Teams) and experience in ERP systems preferred.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting technical documents including blueprints and schematics.
- Ability to use basic inspection tools
- Knowledge of AS9100, AS9102
- Experience working in a manufacturing setting
- Strong understanding of basic shop math principles.
- Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
- High School Diploma/GED required; additional certifications related to quality assurance are advantageous.
- At least 2 years of experience in a quality control or inspection role within a manufacturing setting
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel, pull and push with hands and arms, reach overhead, and talk or hear
- Steady work pace required due to production requirements
- Able to lift to 40 pounds
- Moderate walking, standing, lifting, carrying, stooping, bending, kneeling and reaching.
- Exposed to shop elements such as noise, dust, odors, fumes, etc.
